| Bruce Hadley Antone resides in Orlando and works as a consultant. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee Institute, where he was involved in track and field, inducted into Eta Kappa Nu - Electrical Engineering Honor Fraternity, and was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (I.E.E.E.). During his time at Tuskegee, he also participated in intramural sports and served as an assistant track and field coach for the girls' and women's teams from 1978 to 1983. He pursued graduate studies in Electrical Engineering from 1983 to 1984 while continuing his involvement in intramural sports and coaching. Additionally, he completed graduate studies in Public Administration at the University of Central Florida from 1993 to 1995. He is also a graduate of IBM Systems Engineering and Marketing in Dallas, Texas, from 1984 to 1985.
He moved to Florida in 1984 and is affiliated with the Baptist faith. His recreational interests include music, reading, sports, and traveling.
Antone was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2022. He previously served in the Florida House from 2002 to 2006 and again from 2012 to 2020.
His public service includes being a member of the Orange County Planning and Zoning Commission in 2010 and serving as a legislative aide to State Senator Buddy Dyer from 1992 to 1999 and again from 2001 to 2002. He was also a member of the Orange Blossom Trail Development Board from 1997 to 1999.
He is affiliated with several organizations, including the Central Florida Caucus of Local Black Elected Officials, the Florida Conference of Black State Legislators, and the Pine Hills Community Council. |
