Vanessa Oliver, a resident of Punta Gorda, was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2024.
Born on January 17 in Boston, Massachusetts, Oliver earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Government minor from the College of William & Mary in 2002. She later obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2006.
A CEO by profession, she is married to David Oliver of Orlando, Florida, and they have three children- Catherine, James, and Julian. She is Catholic.
Oliver has served as Vice Chair of the Charlotte County Airport Authority and has been involved in various public and professional organizations, including the Charlotte County Bar Association, Charlotte County Economic Development Partnership, Charlotte Harbor Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Advisory Committee (Chair), Florida Ambulance Association, Florida Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services (Consumer Member), Military Heritage Museum, The Florida Bar, and United Way of Charlotte County.
She holds Board Certification in Health Law from The Florida Bar. |
