Corey Simon was elected to the Florida Senate in 2022 and has been reelected subsequently.
In addition to his legislative service, he has been a member of the Children and Youth Cabinet since 2021. He serves as President of Big Bend Pop Warner and is the founder of Corey's Kids. He has also been actively involved as a youth sports volunteer coach.
Simon has received numerous honors, including the Volunteer Florida CEO recognition, the Servant's Heart Award from the Sickle Cell Foundation of the Big Bend, the Spirit of Youth Award from Boys Town, the Community Dad Award from Omega Lamplighters, and the David and I. Lorraine Thomas Child Advocate of the Year Award.
Professionally, he works as an Athlete Alumni Engagement and Development Director. He is married to Natasha Givens Simon of Wildwood, Florida, and they have one child, Corey "CJ" Jr.
Simon earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Studies from Florida State University in 1999. During his time there, he was a captain of the football team from 1998 to 1999 and received multiple accolades, including Consensus All-American honors, the Community Service Award, and finalist positions for the Lombardi Award, Outland Trophy, and Nagurski Award. He was also named First Team All-Conference.
Born in Pompano Beach, Florida, he is a Christian. His recreational interests include hunting, fishing, golfing, and cooking. |
