Tracie Davis was elected to the Florida Senate in 2022 and has been reelected subsequently. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2022.
Throughout her career, Davis has been recognized with several honors, including the Community Leadership Award from the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, the Distinguished Alumni Award from Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Community Activist of the Year award from ALCAM. She has also been named a Champion for the Elderly by the Florida Health Care Association, a Legislative Champion for Education by the Florida Education Association, and a Legislative Champion by the Big Brothers Big Sisters State Association.
She is affiliated with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Leadership Jacksonville, the Democratic Women Information Network, and the Jacksonville Women Network. Additionally, she serves on the boards of the Pace Center for Girls in Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Arts and Music School.
Professionally, she works with El-Cart Staffing Solutions. She is married to Robert E. Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, and they have three children- Antonisha, Robert Jr., and Brittnie.
Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Edward Waters University in 1994, graduating magna cum laude. She later obtained a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida in 2001.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she is nondenominational in her faith. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, skating, and watching movies. |
