Ana Maria Rodriguez was elected to the Senate in 2020 and subsequently reelected. She previously served in the House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Before her time in the legislature, she was a City of Doral Councilwoman from 2010 to 2018 and served as Vice Mayor from 2017 to 2018.
She is currently the Senior Vice President of Miami Realtors. She is married to Dr. Clemente M. Canabal of Cartagena, Colombia, and they have four children- JC, Nina, Eros, and Hermes.
She earned an M.S. in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business in 2009, where she was named to the Dean's List. She also holds a B.S. in Communications from Florida International University's School of Journalism and Mass Communications, earned in 1999.
Born in Miami, Florida, she is a Roman Catholic. Her recreational interests include traveling, reading, sewing, and spending time with family. |
