| Born in Berwyn and attended Western Illinois University, Macomb. Served as Legislative Aide to the late Rep. Rich Myers 1997-2010; Emmet Township Trustee 2002-2006 and Township Supervisor 2006-2014; and member of Macomb Planning Commission. Deputy Leader Hammond serves as the chief budget negotiator for the House Republican Caucus, is President of the Board of State Agriculture and Rural Leaders (SARL), and represents Illinois on the Council of State Governments Agriculture Committee.
