She grew up in Indianapolis, graduated from Pike High School, and returned with her husband to raise her family in the heart of District 87. Carey comes from a line of veterans and small business owners. Today, her husband is co-owner of a small business on Indy's north side.
And she's qualified.
Carey is a nonprofit executive and has worked in the environmental field for 20+ years. Throughout her career she has managed several policy development initiatives and public outreach programs. Her professional and community service work includes-
