Bio

Born in Detroit, Senator Paul Wojno is a lifelong resident of Michigan and the 10th senate district. He is serving his second term in the Michigan Senate. Paul is the Chairman of the JCAR committee, Majority Vice Chair of both Elections and Local Government and committee member of Health Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Civil Rights, Judiciary and Public Safety, and Transportation and Infrastructure. As state senator, Wojno has worked on legislation to protect and prioritize Michigan senior citizens, improve our education system, combat human trafficking, provide resources and aid to those struggling with substance abuse and protect voter's rights. Wojno served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, Wojno was named Democrat of the Year by the Warren/Center Line Democrats for his involvement in championing issues on behalf of veteran services, women's rights, senior citizens, equality and social justice, and environmental safety. Wojno is a graduate of Center Line High school. He attended Macomb Community College, the University of Michigan, and earned his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Warren where they have raised their three children.
