Representative Jamie Burger, a Republican, represents Scott and Mississippi Counties (District 148) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2020.
Prior to serving in the legislature, Burger spent 37 years, including 30 in management, at Buzzi Unicem USA, Inc. He also served 18 years on the Scott County Commission, including 12 years as Presiding Commissioner.
Burger was born in Sikeston and raised in New Hamburg, where he was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He is now a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, where he serves as Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He is also a member of the NRA, Area Chambers of Commerce and the Knights of Columbus.
Burger currently lives in Benton with his wife, Sherry. They have three children, six grandchildren and two bonus grandchildren. |
