Rep. Herman E. Morse, a Republican, represents Stoddard and the western part of Scott Counties (District 151) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in 2017 to fill a seat that had been vacated.
Prior to becoming a legislator, Rep. Morse spent twenty-seven years working at the Dexter Public Schools and was an adjunct professor for Three Rivers College for sixteen years. He was also the manager of the Dexter Public Schools Credit Union for nineteen years. He has been a member of the Dexter Schools Board of Education for fourteen years
Rep. Morse is affiliated with the Church of Christ at Essex where he has served as the minister for twenty five years.
Representative Morse graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1971 with a BS in Education. He received a Masters from Southeast in 1976 and a Masters in Guidance and Counseling in 1980. In 1987 he received a Specialist in Education from Southeast.
Representative Morse was born September 15, 1949 near Avert, Missouri, and currently resides outside Dexter with his wife, Sharon. |
