I am running for re-election to the office of State Representative for House District 68. This is my home, where I live and raise my family. I was born in Montana, grew up in Big Sandy, and in 1991 moved to Bozeman to finish my degree in Biomedical Science at MSU. I met my husband here, and Don & I have raised our 5 children in the Gallatin Valley - in Churchill for the past 18 years & in River Rock for 5 years before that.
I grew up the daughter of a builder - in a blended family with 8 siblings. I have been surrounded by, and employed by, many types of agriculture my entire life. I have a great love and respect for the land & I understand the value of hard work and the importance of being financially responsible.
I believe that government should be limited and that free people should have the liberty to make decisions for themselves and their families. We must return to a government by and for the people, not by and for government agencies.
As a Majority Whip and the Chair of the House Human Services Committee, I bring common sense, conservative values to Helena, and work hard to ensure your liberties are respected.
I value and work every day to protect-
Life, liberty and property rights,
The freedom of religion, expression and free association,
The United States & Montana constitutions, and the Bill of Rights,
Quality education, our agricultural heritage and responsible natural resource use,
Personal responsibility and self-determination,
Our elderly, our veterans & Montanans with disabilities.
My loyalty is to the Constitutions & the people of my district - not special interest groups and lobbyists. |
