Meet Steve Vetter
Steve was born and raised in Grand Forks. He graduated from Red River in 1992. He moved to Fargo and then the Minneapolis metro area where he worked in the concrete industry. He became a journeyman Cement Mason in Local 633 for several years before changing careers. He worked as a financial planner helping clients reach their financial goals for 12 years before moving back to Grand Forks in 2012 where he works as a Certified Appraiser in the surrounding communities. He is a member of the ND Appraiser Association. Steve is a parishioner at St Michaels church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He serves on the board of directors for the Grand Forks Community Land Trust, which is a nonprofit organization that has a goal adding more affordable housing to our local community. Steve finally realized his goal when graduated Cum Lauda with a double major in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership from the University of Mary in 2018.
Steve married the love of his life, Jennifer Friend this January, 2020. They recently started a small business together called Custom Murphy Wall Beds.
In 2016, Steve was elected to the ND State House of Representatives. He serves on the Judiciary Committee where he strives to protect civil liberties of all North Dakota citizens. He serves on the Government and Veterans Affairs Committee. With Steve's leadership, North Dakota has become a more military friendly state for our all our veterans. |
