I grew up in North Dakota and earned my degree from North Dakota State University. I spent 13 years at Microsoft and Great Plains Software in Fargo before starting my own corporate communications business in 2011.
When I'm not doing legislative work or helping my clients, you can find me walking our dog Lilly around the neighborhood, working in my garden, or making quilts in my sewing room. I also serve on the Fargo Theatre board and the North Dakota Women's Network board.
Before being elected to the ND House, I co-founded two grassroots public policy advocacy groups related to privacy in health care and faith-based social justice work, and I helped defeat the extreme 'personhood' ballot measure in 2014.
My husband, Shawn, and I are raising our two sons and a variety of critters in a beautiful 1929 home. We love living in the north side! |
