Christian Barranco has been an assemblyman since 2022, and assistant conference leader since January 2024.
Barranco is a journeyman in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 102, joining the local in 2003. He has worked as project manager on many industrial and energy infrastructure projects for McPhee Electric in South Plainfield since 2015 and for Beach Electric Company in Paterson from 2014 to 2015.
Previously, he was a Pompton Lakes Borough councilman from 2017 to 2019.
Since 2018, he has served on the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America executive board and the New Jersey Organization for Economic Growth board of directors in Morris County.
In 2013, he founded the New Jersey Rough Riders Society, a political action committee to support Republican candidates that operated until 2019 when he founded the Square Deal for NJ weblog on Facebook.
Barranco lives in Jefferson Township with his wife Pauline and their children Natalia, Simone and Emilio. |
