Sean Kean has served in the state Legislature since 2002. Prior to redistricting, he represented the 11th Legislative district in the state Senate from 2008 to 2012, which he also represented in the Assembly from 2002 to 2008.
Kean earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Seton Hall University in 1988 and a master's degree in American studies from Columbia University in 1992. He went on to get his law degree from Seton Hall Law School in in 1995. He is a municipal attorney and prosecutor, working with the Matawan law firm Cleary, Giacobbe, Alfieri and Jacobs.
Previously, Kean served on the Monmouth County Environmental Council from 1999 to 2001 and Wall Township's planning board from 2001 to 2002.
A father of triplets, he and his wife reside in Wall. |
