| Mr. Lagana was selected by district Democratic Committee members April 11, 2018, to fill a vacancy created when Senator Robert Gordon resigned to become a commissioner on the Board of Public Utilities. Mr. Lagana took the oath the following day. He was elected to the Assembly in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Prior to his legislative tenure, the senator was a member of the Paramus Borough Council, from 2012 to 2013.
Senator Lagana was born in Teaneck. He received a bachelor's degree in history from Fordham University in 2000. He received a juris doctorate, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2004. He is a partner with the Secaucus law firm of Chasan, Lamparello, Mallon and Cappuzzo.
Mr. Lagana and his wife, Jamie, were married in 2006, and they have two daughters. |
