State Representative Jack Daniels is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 32nd District, which consists of the southern portion of Summit County and the eastern neighborhoods of Akron.
He attended the University of Akron before beginning his career as an entrepreneur. In 1991, Daniels purchased Kandel Transport Inc., a trucking company. Daniels oversaw the continued expansion of the organization, founding Kandel Cold Storage just six years later. Additionally, he founded and sold two other companies- Armstrong Refrigeration Truck and Trailer Repair and Gilchrist Truck Parts. Most recently, Daniels stepped in as President and part owner of Stutler Leasing Inc.
He also serves on various boards, including founding and serving as Chairman of the Board for the Manchester Education Foundation. This organization supports the students and educators of Manchester Local School District, offering grants to classroom teachers and scholarships to students.
Daniels began his career in public service as a member of the Portage Lakes Career Center school board, where he served as Board President. He ran for the New Franklin City Council in 2021, winning the at-large seat and serving as Chairman of the Laws and Ordinances Committee. Daniels continued to rise in the ranks of the city council, serving as Vice President and eventually being elected Council President in 2024.
Daniels and his wife, Noelle, are the proud parents of three daughters and four sons and have lived in New Franklin since 1996. |
