Michele Grim is currently serving her first term as a State Representative. She represents the 43rd House District, which encompasses part of Lucas County.
Michele believes everyone deserves to live a healthy life in a healthy community. She has served in public health roles in government, university research, and with nonprofit healthcare providers. Prior to her election to the Ohio House, Michele served as an at-large member of Toledo City Council and worked to establish the first stand-alone committee on health. As City Council Health Promotion and Access Chair, she spearheaded Toledo's groundbreaking medical debt relief initiative with Lucas County and worked to strengthen medical care for the underserved.
Michele is fighting for a future where all Ohioans can thrive. She is committed to economic policies that create good jobs in the industries of the future, revitalize neglected communities, and improve the lives of working people.
A native of Ashland, Ohio, Michele earned her doctorate in law and policy from Northeastern University and her master's degree in public health from the University of Toledo. She lives in Toledo with her husband Ben Krompak. |
