Dan Meuser is a conservative business leader who brings his experience as a proven job creator to Congress.
The son of a police officer and a wonderful mom who balanced family and work, Dan grew up in a middle-class family and attended the New York Maritime University as well as Cornell University on a Navy ROTC scholarship.
Dan joined Pride Mobility Products in 1988, a small healthcare products manufacturer that he helped grow into the worldwide industry leader in power mobility products. Dan served as President of Pride USA for seven years.
In 2011, Governor Tom Corbett nominated Dan to serve as Pennsylvania's Secretary of Revenue. There, he worked to transform the Department of
Revenue from a traditional tax collection agency into a taxpayer advocacy organization.
Dan's leadership of the Department was recognized by the Council on State Taxation for the most dramatic improvement of any department of revenue in the country, going from a D rating to an A- during his tenure.
In 2019, Dan Meuser was sworn in as a member of the 116th Congress representing Pennsylvania's 9th Congressional District. Congressman Meuser currently serves on the House Financial Services and Small Business Committees. He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access for the Small Business Committee. Congressman Meuser is also a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, the Republican Study Committee, the Border Security Caucus, the Congressional Coal Caucus.
Under Dan's leadership, his Congressional office staff is focused on legislation that benefits Pennsylvania, best-in-class constituent services, and a high level of interactive communication with the 9th District.
Dan and his wife of 30 years, Shelley, have two daughters and a son, and live in Luzerne County, PA. |
