Michelle McGaw is a pharmacist from Portsmouth RI, working to optimize pharmaceutical care for the elderly. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy where she met her husband Jim. They have made Portsmouth their home since 1991 and raised two grown sons, Jake and Max. She is currently a member of the Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee, and formerly served on the Portsmouth Solid Waste and Recycling Committee, the Portsmouth Charter Review Committee, and the board for the RI Democratic Women's caucus. She is a co-founder of the Portsmouth Trash Collaborative and also enjoys spending time promoting positive change for women. In recent years she has been focused on becoming more involved in RI politics and finding ways to make the RI of the future a better place for our families to thrive. Prior community involvement included board positions with Portsmouth Little League and Portsmouth Babe Ruth. She has worked with the Portsmouth Little League Challenger Division as the concessions/volunteer coordinator for their annual Challenger League Jamboree since 2007. |
