Congressman Russell Fry, South Carolina's Seventh Congressional District Congressman, is honored and humbled to represent the Pee Dee and Grand Strand areas in Washington, D.C.
Russell Fry is the successful product of the American Dream. He learned from his parents that there is no such thing as a free lunch and that success comes from hard work and determination. Russell self-funded his undergraduate education at the University of South Carolina and then earned his law degree at the Charleston School of Law. In law school, he served as Student Bar Association president, helped the school achieve its American Bar Association accreditation, and received the prestigious Civility Award. For over a decade, he practiced law all along the Grand Strand.
Russell has always been a public servant and an advocate for the conservative movement. Prior to his election to U.S. Congress, Russell Fry represented Horry County in the South Carolina General Assembly. As Chief Majority Whip in the State House, he fought to lower taxes, defend the unborn, and safeguard the 2nd Amendment. Additionally, Russell fought to put 18 policy initiatives into law in his time as Chairman of the SC House Opioid Abuse Prevention Study Committee. This legislation provided funding for education on opioids, opioid prevention, and opioid treatment.
Russell and his wife, Bronwen, have one son, James. The family lives in Murrells Inlet with their beloved chocolate lab, Jasper. |
