Johnny is a 7th generation Goodlettsvillian and has lived in Sumner County for over 35 years. He grew up in Goodlettsville, proposed to and married his wife Kara at his childhood home in Goodlettsville and is now raising his family in his hometown.
While in high school, Johnny's first jobs were at the Bank of Goodlettsville and Cole & Garrett Funeral homes. Johnny and his wife, Kara, a registered nurse, have been married for 22 years. They are raising three children, Jackson (20), Ella (17) and Addie (15) along with their dog Layla, a miniature Australian Shepherd.
Johnny attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he obtained a B.S. degree in General Business and became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He entered the Nashville School of Law and obtained his J.D. in 2006. As a lawyer, Johnny has been practicing in Sumner County where he represents small to medium size businesses, entrepreneurs who need guidance on starting their businesses, and individuals who need assistance in probate and estate planning matters.
Johnny is committed to serving others and has deep roots in Sumner County. He has served on the Board of Directors for Goodpasture Christian School, Volunteer State Community College Foundation, Goodlettsville Help Center, United Way of Sumner County and the Salvus Center in Gallatin.
Johnny is the President of Goodlettsville Little League Baseball who has twice made it to the Little League World Series. Johnny Co-Founded the 100 Club of Sumner County which is a non-profit dedicated to providing immediate funds to the family of a fallen First Responder, Fire-Fighter and Police Officer who protect us day in and day out. Johnny is a member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club, the Sumner County Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Johnny is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a past member of Ducks Unlimited. In his spare time, Johnny enjoys spending time with family, hunting, golf and anything baseball. |
