Bio

Born on December 25, 1961, Gino Bulso is an accomplished attorney, state legislator, and Republican Party member, representing the 61st District of Tennessee, in Williamson County, in the House of Representatives. His legal career spans 38 years, during which he has handled over 150 cases across the state and beyond. Bulso is the founder of Bulso PLC, a law firm based in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he leverages his extensive legal expertise. Gino was raised in Tampa, Florida, where he was born to Eugene and Virginia Bulso. He attended Tampa Bay Technical Vocational High School, where he was trained in sheet metal work, graduating in 1979. A standout tennis player, Bulso was recruited by Cornell College, where he pursued degrees in history and philosophy and excelled in tennis. He made family history by graduating in May 1983 with a Bachelor of Philosophy in History, the first in his family to earn a college degree. Following his undergraduate studies, Bulso was drawn to Emory University School of Law, earning his Doctor of Law in 1986. That same year, he married Kathy Bain, and they settled in Nashville, Tennessee, where they raised five children between 1987 and 1993. The Bulso family, now including eight grandchildren, made Brentwood, Tennessee, their home in 1995. Their spiritual journey led them from the Cathedral of the Incarnation to St. Edward Church, aligning with their son's role as pastor. Gino Bulso's legal career has been distinguished since 1986, marked by involvement in high-profile cases, such as Nissan North America v. West Covina Nissan. He has received accolades from 'The Best Lawyers in America' and was listed in the Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" from 2007. Since 2021, he has served as Chairman of Tennessee's Advisory Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure. Elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 2022, Bulso actively participates on various committees and has been instrumental in passing legislation on topics including Tennessee's 10th Amendment rights and definitions related to sex and gender in public school sports. His legislative efforts also led to the expulsion of a representative and nearly another, besides the endorsement of HB1828, which names seminal texts as state books of Tennessee. Despite a setback in the crowded 2018 primary, his persistence was rewarded in 2022 with decisive victories in both the GOP primary and general elections. Beyond his professional and legislative accomplishments, Bulso maintains his passion for tennis, securing top rankings in his division by the USTA. This overview captures the dynamic and committed life of Gino Bulso, a devoted family man, skilled lawyer, and influential legislator serving Tennessee.
