| Bill Powers' family has called Middle Tennessee home for seven generations. That's why he's committed to delivering a brighter future for our community.
After graduating from Clarksville High School, Bill received his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee where he graduated with honors. He then returned home to Clarksville where he began a 40-year business career, including 30 years as managing partner of Wyatt-Johnson Automotive Group.
Prior to his current role in the legislature, Powers distinguished career includes being elected two terms on the Clarksville City Council, Chairman of Clarksville Gas and Water, and as board member of Clarksville Department of Electricity/Lightband. Bill is actively involved in philanthropic efforts such as the University of Tennessee Baker School of Public Policy, the United Way of Greater Clarksville, Manna Cafe, YaiPAK and the Economic Development Council of Clarksville.
Powers is a member of the National Rifle Association, Tennessee Farm Bureau, and was awarded the Tennessee Federation of Independent Business Guardian of Small Business in 2022. Bill now represents us in the State Senate, where he works to protect our conservative values everyday. |
