Jen Dailey-Provost has the distinct privilege of representing House District 22, which encompasses the vibrant neighborhoods of Marmalade, Capitol Hill, the Avenues, the University of Utah, and downtown Salt Lake City in the Utah House of Representatives. Additionally, she holds the esteemed position of Minority Whip for the House Democratic Caucus. Representative Dailey-Provost secured her initial election victory in November 2018 and officially commenced her legislative service in January 2019. Representative Dailey-Provost's policy objectives and fervor are centered around a diverse array of critical issues, including the enhancement of health outcomes, advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and protections, championing disability rights, addressing the opioid crisis, improving the state's medical cannabis program, promoting air quality and environmental preservation, advancing education, advocating for restorative justice, and safeguarding our robust voting rights. In addition to her legislative duties, Representative Dailey-Provost is dedicated to furthering her academic pursuits and is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Professionally, she serves as a public health researcher and holds a teaching faculty position at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Furthermore, she is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Utah's Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity. Representative Dailey-Provost and her family make their home in the Avenues neighborhood. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business and an MBA earned from Westminster University's Gore School of Business. Embracing the exceptional quality of life that Utah offers, Jen and her family relish the remarkable access to the great outdoors that the state provides. She nurtures her passions for skiing and running, but also enjoys hiking, biking, camping, reading, and knitting cozy things.
