I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and have lived in the area most of my life. I grew up with six siblings in a small house on Pilgrim Street.
After graduating from Green Bay Southwest High School, I founded Macco's Floor Cover Centers, Inc. with my father, Jim Macco, which now has six locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
Then I founded Macco Financial Group, Inc., an organization providing financial planning services to families in 16 states, now run by my son. My second son is co-founder of Legacybox, the largest analog-to-digital conversion company in the nation. I know the challenges faced by small business owners and what it takes to provide family-sustaining jobs.
I have always understood the importance of community leadership and economic development. I have served on the executive board for Old Main Street Green Bay, have been active with Downtown Green Bay, Inc., Old Main Marshfield, and Old Main De Pere. I have served as both elder and deacon at my church and have been active with the Republican Party of Brown County.
I have been married to my wife, Suzan, for over 40 years. Together we have two sons, two daughters-in-law and six grandchildren. I enjoy outdoor activities including diving, cycling, flying, skiing, and gardening. |
