Bio

Fourteen years ago I married the love of my life, Lori Lock. These years have brought two amazing children and some crazy, amazing changes. As a boy, I took for granted that this country that I love would always be here for me and my kids. The older I get, the more I am realizing that unless each and every one of us stands up and defends the values we all love, our kids won't know the America we do. Or even worse...they may not even know America. I am very passionate about making sure that we don't produce a government so powerful that it eliminates the rights of us as parents to raise our children how we see fit. I believe it is not the government's job to raise our children or to tell us what to believe. It's not the Governments job to tell me what marriage is, or how it's supposed to look. I know that we as a nation need to see a reversal in the importance of the family unit. When the family is strong, the nation is strong. There is truly nothing better than a cool September morning on the mountain with a bull bugling below you, or a crisp day out on the bluffs chasing a mule deer. I wouldn't be lying if I were to say that almost all of my best memories have happened in the outdoors with either my bow, rifle, fishing pole, or just a good pair of hiking boots. With growing up in this part of Wyoming I joke that the mountain is where I grew up. The problem is that the Wyoming way of life that we all know and love is only one generation away from extinction. I am passionate about protecting that way of life for not only myself, but for the generations to come. Hunting rights, protection of private property, and education of the next generation of outdoorsman and women is at the forefront of my concern. Born and raised in Platte County has given me a unique perspective of our community. After high school, I got a job at Lock Trucking as a diesel mechanic. During that time, I received my degree in Power Plant Technology. I then got a job at Laramie River Station as a laborer. I went through the apprenticeship program and received my Journeyman Mechanics Certification. As a life long learner, it wasn't long after my apprenticeship that I started down another learning path. I enrolled in seminary and received my degree in Biblical Theology, all while working at LRS. Just over four years ago, I felt the calling to leave my job at the plant and take over as the senior pastor at Impact Ministries, which is where I have been serving since. This change gave me the opportunity to serve my community better. For three of the past four years, I have served as president of the Platte County Ministerial Society. I also have had the opportunity to serve as a board member for the Platte County Chamber of Commerce for the past three years, two of which I have held the position of Chairman. I am truly dedicated to this community and look forward to being able to continue to serve it and the amazing people in it.
