Bio

For the last four years I've had the great honor of serving the people of Albany County in the Wyoming House of Representatives. In my "day job" I work to build a vibrant community by collaborating with a broad range of entities and individuals, focusing on strengthening relationships around common goals. I love working one-on-one with small business owners, being exposed to new ideas, and finding "outside of the box" solutions to challenging problems. In the legislature and with Downtown Laramie, I champion Wyoming's locally owned businesses, our history and creative economy. I believe in making strategic investments in infrastructure, education systems and natural resources while supporting policies to preserve individual freedoms. These values allow me to develop strategies for Wyoming to diversify its economy, create opportunities for hardworking residents, and provide opportunities for young people to stay in our communities. In addition to my "boots on the ground" experience, I have a degree in Public History with a sub focus on English and Photography. I am a Leadership Wyoming graduate, class of 2009, a participant in Wyoming Game and Fish's Becoming an Outdoor Woman program, co-founder of the Laramie Mural Project and the Laramie Public Art Coalition. I served as a board member for the Wyoming State Historical Society, the Laramie Plains Museum, and was President of the Albany County Historical Society. I am active in my church, Trinity Lutheran, and volunteer with several of Laramie's non profits. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, hiking, dog training, photography, hunting, cooking wild game, and the challenge of gardening at 7,220 feet!
