Ever since John was a little kid, he enjoyed the outdoors and the Western way of life, which includes camping, fishing and hunting. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and was an aeronautical Engineering Major.
Together with his wife Elvira, he raised a family of four in Wyoming, two boys and two girls. Both of his sons are Marines. Captain and aviator John C Kolb, retired, who is working for the FBI now and Corporal Ruslan Kolb, who is now a law enforcement officer. Both of them proudly served their country. Alexia, his youngest, just graduated from Rock Springs High School and is looking forward attending the University of Wyoming.
John is a successful, self-made businessman and president of Alpha Petroleum Service, Inc. He has done business in Sweetwater County for over 36 years. He is a master electrician, holder of four current Wyoming DEQ testing certificates.
John currently holds a4th degree black belt in Taekwondo. He has practiced this sport for over 21 years and has also been an instructor. He also loves astrophotography and astronomy. He can be found in the wilderness in Wyoming, enjoying the outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting. He holds Wyoming dear to his heart.
John served two four-year terms as Sweetwater County commissioner, where he fought hard to support a balanced budget. During his time as commissioner, the county reserves increased from $17 million to over $53 million - that during tough economic times! During his times as county commissioner, he developed working relations with various Wyoming legislators, including the governor.
As a lifetime conservative Republican, supporter of the freedom and constitutional rights, he is looking to forward to your vote. He is the best choice for Sweetwater County and Senate District 12. |
