Bio

Hi, I'm Charlie Lucking, a fifth-generation Arizonan with deep roots in Phoenix. My journey has been shaped by a commitment to service, a passion for justice, and a love for my community. I served in the Peace Corps, where I met my incredible wife, Skye. Together, we're raising two wonderful kids, Cormac and Moxie, who keep our lives vibrant and full of joy. At home, we cherish our time together with our dogs and flock of chickens in our backyard orchard. I'm an avid reader, music lover, and instrument builder. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, and camping with my family. Professionally, I've worn many hats. As an attorney, I fought to prevent evictions and protect housing rights, which is what inspired me to run for office. As your current Representative, I'm dedicated to updating outdated eviction laws and championing progressive causes. My professional journey also includes roles in law, business development, and international development. Community service is a cornerstone of my life. Skye and I have spent countless hours volunteering and supporting progressive candidates and policies. We're passionate about public education, climate action, and equitable food distribution. I've served on various boards, including the Arizona Chapter of the American Liver Foundation and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. I'm actively involved in initiatives like the Secondary Education Impact Council, pushing Arizona towards higher education attainment goals. I'm a strong advocate for sensible gun laws, public education, sustainability, and reproductive rights. My dedication to cultural exchange and community collaboration drives me to find creative and sustainable solutions to complex problems. I believe that honesty, integrity, bravery, and compassion are the civil gifts we owe each other, and these values guide my work and my life. Arizona is my heart and home. I'm committed to working tirelessly for our community's future, ensuring that we all thrive together. My mission is to develop long-term equitable solutions to difficult challenges and to create a future where we all can flourish.
