My name is Byron H. Pelton and I am running for Colorado Senate District 1. I am a Colorado native born in Cheyenne County and I've spent the last 20 years living in Logan County. I am proud to have served my country in the United States Navy. As a military veteran, I am a staunch proponent of the 2nd Amendment and I Support Law Enforcement to serve and protect our communities. Since 2008, I have been active in the Republican Party.
My wife and two daughters live in Sterling, Colorado where Irun a small cow-calf operation. Originally from Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, I am a United States Navy veteran and was trained as an electrician, upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, moved to northeast Colorado and worked as an electrician for 20 years.
Elected Logan County commissioner, district 1 in 2016 and was re-elected in 2020. I served on several task forces and boards, such as the Governor's Behavioral Health Taskforce. and also served on the board of directors of Colorado Counties, Inc. and was named "Colorado Commissioner of the Year" in 2021. |
