Doug has built meaningful relationships across the aisle and across industries. As the former chairman of the Senate Democratic Caucus, Democrats and Republicans alike know he takes a problem solving approach to politics. He served as chairman of the Cobb Transit Board before being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, and then State Senate in 2004. He was listed among the "Most Influential Georgians of the Year" by James magazine in 2010. He'll put that influence to work for everyday Georgians. Doug and his wife, Della, currently reside in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Smyrna with their two daughters, Gray and Honor. |
