Kenny Titus, with his wife Kara made Northeast Kansas their home in 2015. After welcoming their two boys, they experienced first-hand the challenges families face with jobs, housing, childcare, education, and other important family support services. During his time in office, Kenny has advocated for practical policy solutions for families, including efforts to improve childcare regulations, housing programs, and protecting the rights of seniors.
In Topeka, Kenny led the development of two historic water bills that will help communities across the state maintain access to adequate water supplies for many years to come and he worked to provide law enforcement with more tools to battle the spread of fentanyl. In addition to these accomplishments, Kenny will continue to focus on keeping money in your pocket, fostering economic growth, the right to life, 2nd Amendment rights, expansion of the agricultural industry, and supporting infrastructure and broadband development. He also stood up for transparent government when the Kansas Corporation Commission was nearly exempted from holding public meetings in utility rate cases.
Prior to election, Kenny served as Chief Counsel to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, working with stakeholders in the state's largest industry and is considered one of the state's top water law experts. Prior to that, he worked in the Office of the Kansas Attorney General under Derek Schmidt. Kenny also has experience as a small business owner, operating the National Sports Network, a nationally syndicated play-by-play radio broadcast network, for several years. He attended law school at the University of Kansas where he later served as an adjunct professor. He received his M.A. in History and B.S. degrees in Journalism and History from Kansas State University. |
