State Rep. Angela Rigas was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. Rigas represents the 79th District, which encompasses portions of Allegan, Barry, and Kent counties, and specifically the townships of Byron (part), Caledonia, Gaines, Irving, Leighton, Rutland, and Thornapple.

Rigas is a graduate of Hastings High School and small-business owner in the Salon Industry.
Professional and personal background
Rigas is a life-long Michigan resident who resides in the Alto area in Kent County with her husband, Dave, and their four boys, three dogs, and four cats.
Angela is a long-time grassroots advocate fighting for Second Amendment, Parental and Voting rights. She has served on Allegan, Kent and Barry County's Executive Committees.
Rigas is an American History buff who enjoys traveling with her family to visit and learn more about battles from the War for Independence, Civil War, and other historical sites around the country. |
