Bio

Kelly Moller is a career prosecutor, victim rights advocate, Shoreview mother, and representative for District 42A, which includes Arden Hills, Mounds View, Shoreview, and Spring Lake Park, in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Since being elected in 2018, Kelly has authored or co-authored over 100 bills. Her bill to make workplaces safer from sexual harassment passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support, and she also led on sexual assault issues and gun violence prevention. Kelly and her colleagues have been working hard on a number of other important issues - historic investments in education, increased access to mental health services for students, lower healthcare costs, environmental protections, and so much more. Keeping connected with constituents has been a top priority. In fact, two bills authored are the result of issues constituents brought to her attention. One bill reduces the delay first responders face in determining who to notify after a life-threatening crash, and the other bill provides more options to people caring for family members with disabilities. In addition to working in the Minnesota House of Representatives, Kelly is an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney and handles criminal appeals on behalf of the State of Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a business degree and Hamline University School of Law. Kelly worked for the Minnesota Attorney General's Office for more than a decade before serving as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Alliance on Crime. Kelly has been recognized by the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault for her work to secure victim privacy and by MADD for strengthening Minnesota's hit-and-run law. She is a member of Minnesota's AFSCME Local 2938, and previously served on Shoreview's public safety committee. Kelly and her husband Kevin, who is a project manager at Boston Scientific in Arden Hills, have lived in Shoreview for 20 years. Their younger son attends Mounds View Public Schools and their older son is a recent graduate. Please feel free to contact Kelly and let her know the issues that are important to you.
