Rep. Jeff Knight, a Republican, represents Laclede and Dallas County (District 129) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Knight was first elected during a special election in February, 2018, and he won re-election to his first full two-year term in November, 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Knight is an auctioneer and small business owner.
Born in Lebanon, Missouri, in 1968, Rep. Knight graduated from Lebanon High School before attending the University of Missouri and Southwest Missouri State, from where he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science Education. For 25 years, Knight taught and coached in schools in Ozark, Nixa, Lebanon and Camdenton.
Rep. Knight resides in Lebanon, along with his wife, Amy. They have two children, Savanna and Jordan. He is a member of the local Rotary International, the Lebanon and Buffalo Area Chambers of Commerce, First Baptist Church of Lebanon, and he serves as a board member for Heart of the Ozarks Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is also a member of Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Cattlemen's Association, National Rifle Association, and National Wild Turkey Federation. Rep. Knight has been recognized by the Missouri Farm Bureau as a Friend of Agriculture and by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce as a member of the 100% Club. |
