Senator Kristina Roegner is serving her second term in the Ohio Senate representing the 27th Senate District which includes Ohioans living in parts of Summit County. In the Senate, Senator Roegner Chairs the Government Oversight and Reform Committee, and serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee.
Senator Roegner joins the Senate after serving four terms in the Ohio House from 2011-2018 as an elected member of Hudson City Council from 2005-2010. Prior to her time in public office, she worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, serving global clients on performance and strategic issues. She also was a field engineer and project manager for Westinghouse Power Generation Service Division, where she was responsible for leading teams to overhaul large turbines and generators at power plants across the country.
Graduating cum laude in 1990, Senator Roegner has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance and strategic management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Senator Roegner has earned numerous legislative awards for her work in the Statehouse, including the NFIB's Guardian of Small Business Award, which is presented to only two legislators each year. She also received the Ohio Society of CPA's Outstanding Legislator Award.
Senator Roegner and her husband, Eric, have three daughters and live in Hudson. |
