HOMEGROWN
Bobby Harshbarger was raised in Sullivan County and attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. He later graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Biology and Chemistry.
TRUSTED PHARMACIST
Bobby received his Doctorate degree from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. Bobby met the love of his life, Erin, while in pharmacy school. Together they returned to Sullivan County where they planted their roots and raised a family. When he's not giving piggyback rides to his two young boys, Bobby is serving patients in his community by making sure they get the medicine they need and the care they deserve. Governor Bill Lee recently appointed Bobby to serve on the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. Established in 1893, the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is tasked with setting healthcare standards and responsible for licensing and registering individuals and businesses within the pharmaceutical industry.
"I AM A PRODUCT OF NORTH EAST TENNESSEE. THIS AREA RAISED ME, EDUCATED ME, AND NOW PROVIDES FOR MY FAMILY."
SMALL BUSINESS LEADER
Bobby has been a licensed pharmacist for over a decade and has successfully run his family's small business. Bobby is a problem solver. He understands that budgets need to be balanced, decisions need to be made for the good of the community, and kicking the can down the road is not an option. Bobby is principle-driven and believes taxes should be used to provide services, not serve the government and the people should be heard first, not last.
COMMUNITY ADVOCATE
Bobby has a history of investing in his community. Whether it's training and mentoring pharmacy students or serving on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kingsport, he can be found actively taking the lead. He is also a member of the Kingsport Economic Development Board, a graduate of Leadership Kingsport, a Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries, and a member of the Kingsport Kiwanis Club. Above all else, Bobby Harshbarger is a product of North East Tennessee. |
