GSSA ANNOUNCES Dr. Philip Lanoue of the Clarke County Schools 2015 SOY at the GSBA/GSSA CONFERENCE
by John Zauner on 12/8/2014

Each year the Superintendent of the Year selection committee has a difficult job to chose one winner from the four finalists in our state. Dr. Curtis Jones, Superintendent of Spalding County, Dr. Phyllis Edwards of Decatur City Schools, Dr. Randy Shearouse Superintendent of Effingham County Schools, and Dr. Philip Lanoue of the Clarke County Schools was a very strong field of professionals.  Any one of them could have been selected as was noted by the winner Dr. Philip Lanoue of the Clarke County Schools.  Dr. Lanoue was selected as the winner and he will represent Georgia in the national competition through the AASA process.  Congratulations to Dr. Lanoue and the Clarke County School System for his well deserved recognition as the 2015 Superintendent of the Year for the state of Georgia.
