NCPC 2011 Award Nominations

NOMINATIONS NEEDED
There are many outstanding people within the North Carolina pork industry. It is a goal of the North Carolina Pork Council, with the help of our members and others in the industry, to recognize the folks that represent our industry to the community at-large and are a positive force for the industry.
Below are the three awards for which we are seeking nominations and the criteria for selection. The deadline is December 29, 2010.
HALL OF FAME
The Hall of Fame award recognizes those persons with long and outstanding service to North Carolina's pork industry and the N.C. Pork Council. The recipient may still be active or retired, or the award may be given posthumously.
OUTSTANDING PORK PRODUCER
Selection of the Outstanding Pork Producer is based on the nominee's contribution to the pork industry through management and leadership ability; to the pork producer organization; and to family and community. An owner, operator, contract producer, manager or employee committed to, occupied with and involved in the production of porcine animals, is eligible to be selected. The Outstanding Pork Producer award is presented to a person over 40 years old.

PORK ALL-AMERICAN
The Pork All-American is selected based on the nominee's contribution to the pork industry through management and leadership ability; to the pork producer organization; and to family and community. An owner, operator, contract producer, manager or employee committed to, occupied with and involved in the production of porcine animals, is eligible to be selected. Pork All-American candidates must be between the ages of 25 and 40.
