News & Updates from the State Veterinarian's Office Extended Equine Certificate of Veterinary Inspection Replaces Equine Passport Program This is the final week for equine clients to receive equine passports from NCDA&CS. The agreement between states for the Equine Event Permit, commonly referred to as Equine Passport, expires on December 31, 2019, and will not be renewed. NCDA&CS will not be accepting permit applications after June 30, 2019. In its place, North Carolina has signed an agreement to participate in the Extended Equine Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
