The House and Senate met �briefly this morning, the sixth day of the 2005 General Assembly. PAGE lobbyists attended a meeting of the House Education Appropriations Subcommittee.� John Brown from the Legislative Budget Office presented the subcommittee with an explanation of the Quality Basic Education funding formula, but no other action was taken. �� Tomorrow evening, Governor Perdue�s Task Force on Education Funding will host a statewide forum, exploring the definition of excellence in education.� Several schools across the state will hold listening sessions, and the community conversation will be broadcast tomorrow night on Georgia Public Television.
