BioSenator Jay Luneau, who is serving his second term in the Senate, is the owner of Luneau Law Office in Alexandria. He represents individuals and small businesses in a wide variety of cases in the areas of personal injury, worker's compensation and other damage claims in courts throughout the state. Senator Luneau is also an educator in the legal field, serving as an adjunct professor for Northwestern State University where he teaches law related courses. He also teaches lawyers and paralegals at continuing legal education courses on topics such as settlement of tort cases, motor vehicle accident issues, insurance guaranty issues and workers compensation issues. Sen. Luneau is the legal counsel for Renaissance Home for Youth and is well known in the community for his work with the group. He is also active in a number of other organizations including the Rapides Children's Advocacy Center CASA program. He is a lifelong resident of Central Louisiana. He is also a graduate of Pineville High School, Louisiana Tech University, and Southern Law Center. He and his wife, Carman, have two children, Merritt and Wendell Jr.
