BioRev. Quanta Crews is a dedicated community advocate and associate minister at the Historic Tanner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Phoenix, AZ. With a deep commitment to serving others, she coordinates the No Limits Special Needs Ministry and leads the regional Richard Allen Young Adult Council. Her passion for equitable tax policy stems from her profession as a real and personal property appraiser, where she has witnessed firsthand how inequitable legislation can create significant barriers for marginalized communities.
Rev. Crews is a vocal advocate for an intimate understanding of government agencies, believing that such knowledge is crucial for recognizing opportunities and driving revolutionary change. Her dedication to this cause is evident in her ongoing efforts to sound the alarm on the need for informed and equitable policy-making.
On June 5, 2023, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors appointed Rev. Crews to the Arizona State Legislature as the State Representative for Legislative District 26. In her short tenure, she has already made a significant impact on legislation, using her expertise to inform colleagues about the harmful consequences of proposed bills. This has led to amendments and, in some cases, the discarding of detrimental legislation. She serves on the Ways and Means Committee and has recently been elevated to Ranking Democrat on the Regulatory Affairs Committee.
Beyond her professional and legislative roles, Rev. Crews enjoys dancing with her amazing sons and is an aspiring lyricist, writing poetry in her spare time. Her multifaceted dedication to both her community and her personal passions makes her a unique and inspiring leader for Legislative District 26.
