BioSenator Byron Pelton represents Senate District One, which includes Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma Counties. Byron is a Colorado native, Master electrician, family man, Navy veteran, and fierce advocate for rural Colorado. Senator Pelton was born in Cheyenne County and has lived the past 20 years in Logan County with his wife, Celeste, and their two daughters. Together, they carry on the long tradition of agriculture in Colorado with a small cow-calf operation. For the past five years, Senator Pelton has served as the Logan County Commissioner for District one. During his time as Commissioner, Byron fought back legislative attacks from urban legislators and brought awareness to disproportionate resources and services for behavioral health in Northeast Colorado. Senator Pelton will continue to ensure that rural Colorado is respected and recognized for the vital role it plays in Colorado and around the globe, and he will make sure District One has the resources and protections necessary to sustain rural families and their way of life.
