BioCongresswoman Mary Miller represents the 15th District of Illinois in the United States House of Representatives, where she serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and serves as the Vice Chair of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. Mary is also the Chairwoman of the Congressional Family Caucus and a proud member of the House Freedom Caucus and Republican Study Committee, where she fights for conservative, Constitutional principles including the Right to Life, the Second Amendment, border security, and election integrity.
Mary is a wife, mother of seven, grandmother of twenty, and local farmer who serves as a voice for families and farmers ignored by D.C. insiders in the swamp.
On the House Agriculture Committee, Mary collaborates with fellow farmers to address the challenges they face and is working to craft a Farm Bill that protects vital programs and the interests of American energy and agriculture. She has also introduced legislation, such as the No Solar Panels on Fertile Farmland Act to protect prime Illinois farmland from being overrun by Chinese solar panels and wind turbines. She also introduced legislation to ban China and our adversaries from purchasing U.S. farmland and to stop the Biden EPA from infringing on farmers and ranchers with burdensome Waters of the United States (WOTUS) regulations.
As the Vice Chair of the House Education & Workforce Committee, Mary worked to pass the Parents Bill of Rights Act in the House, which included several of her bills to defend parental rights and protect children from radical gender ideology. On the Committee, Mary also confronted Biden's Acting Secretary of Labor for enacting policies surrounding the unconstitutional COVID vaccine mandate.
Mary graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Business Management and completed graduate coursework in education. She received her teaching certification from the State of Illinois. Mary and her husband Chris still run their 4th generation family farm raising cattle, corn, and soy.
