Bio

The oldest of four, Col. Pam grew up in west Louisville with her life and community centered around the church her grandfather founded-Oak Grove Missionary Baptist. Church and family were the same foundation, and Col. Pam learned the importance of faith, family, and service. She preaches at Oak Grove today.

When she graduated law school in 1984, in the height of the Cold War, Col. Pam turned down high-paying law jobs to join the U.S. Air Force. She wasn't afraid of Russia and China; she wanted to defend the American way of life. In 27 years of JAG service, she defended American soldiers against false charges, prosecuted those who betrayed their uniforms, and taught American values like military justice and human rights in foreign countries. Along the way, she married a gentle man and had two wonderful children. She and her husband Thomas have been together for 36 years.

After she retired from the Air Force, Col. Pam didn't stop working for people-she founded Stevenson Law Center, a non-profit law firm that serves veterans, seniors, and working families who can't afford attorneys. She came back to Oak Grove as a minister. She taught law at the University of Louisville. And she went to work for her community as a state representative. In the state House, Col. Pam has never betrayed the values of faith, family, and service that she learned at Oak Grove and in the Air Force. She fought for jobs and prosperity, stood up to Big Business to deliver for working families, and battled corrupt politicians to protect our rights. She's the most qualified candidate to be our next Attorney General, and she's the candidate we can trust to fight hard for our families.
