BioState Rep. Felicia Brabec is serving her second term representing the 33rd House District, which encompasses portions of Washtenaw County, including the city of Ann Arbor (parts of wards 3, 4, and 5), Scio Township (part), York Township (part), Pittsfield Charter Township (part), and all of Bridgewater Township, Lodi Township, Saline Township, and Saline City.
Dr. Brabec is a practicing clinical psychologist with a masters degree in Clinical Social Work, with over two decades of experience. As a practicing psychologist, she sees up close how decisions made by our state government affects peoples' everyday lives and has pledged to bring the full breadth of her experience with clients to the bargaining table every day.
Having served on the Washtenaw Board of Commissioners for over nine years, Rep Brabec understands the importance of working with others to create a community we all want to live in. During her time on the commission, she led the effort to create the County's first Racial Equity Policy, and has worked on everything from protecting our environment to supporting our schools.
Rep. Brabec plans to get things done by bridging the gap between elected officials and residents, and helping to make sure elected officials are held accountable to the people they serve. She looks forward to tackling environmental justice issues, educational inequity, criminal justice reform, and improving mental health care in our state.
When they're not driving to basketball and soccer tournaments or school plays, Rep. Brabec, her husband David, and their two kids Alex and Viviann love spending time at Lillie Park, cheering on the Wolverines, and eating ice cream from delicious local businesses. Rep. Brabec and her husband are proud to be raising a family in a community that reflects many of the values they want to live by and instill in their children- love, empathy, inclusivity, justice, and care for one another.
