BioState Rep. Phil Green was first elected in November 2018. He currently serves the 67th House District, which covers portions of Genesee, Lapeer and Tuscola counties.

Phil serves on the House Appropriations committee, which handles the state budget. He also serves as the Republican vice chair on the Health and Human Services Appropriations subcommittee and as a member on the Military and Veterans Affairs and State Police and School Aid and Education Appropriations subcommittees.
Working for you
Phil has been fighting for workers and families since he first came to the Michigan Legislature. He has been a dependable advocate for legislation to help working families and seniors keep more of their hard-earned money. He has worked tirelessly to fix Michigan's auto insurance system to ensure people who are catastrophically injured in auto accidents have access to care.
Phil has also worked on plans making much-needed improvements to the state's adoption and foster care systems. He was appointed to the bipartisan House Adoption and Foster Care Task Force in February of 2021 and worked with fellow legislators and stakeholders to make sure children in the care of the state are safe and the child welfare system runs more efficiently for taxpayers who help fund it.
Professional
Currently Green is the Chair of the American Legislative Exchange Council's Energy, Environment and Agriculture Committee. He is also a board member for the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners and the Chair of the 2nd Amendment Caucus for the 102nd Legislature. Green is an ordained minister obtaining his bachelor's degree in Youth Ministries and his master's degree in Biblical Expositions from Pensacola Christian College. Prior to coming to the Legislature Green served as a Youth Pastor, Senior Pastor, and Assistant to the Pastor, as well as providing Sheriff and Jail ministries in various departments around the country, receiving the 2011 National Sheriff Association Chaplin of the year award. Most recently, Phil served as the School Administrator of Juniata Christian School in Vassar.
Personal
Phil and his wife, Marun, were married in 1999. Together they have three children and reside in Green's hometown of Millington. He is an avid hunter and enjoys the outdoors with his two sons and daughter.
