Bio

A local business leader and entrepreneur, Pat Curry has created over one thousand jobs in McLennan County. Pat orchestrated the revitalization of Central Freight Lines in the mid 90s, making it the largest business in Waco and one of the largest employers in the county. Until recently, he owned and operated Rabroker A/C and Plumbing in Hewitt and owned, built, and managed Miracle-Ear Centers in Waco and throughout the country.

Following the West, Texas explosion in 2013, Pat and his team assisted in recovery efforts and donated more than 350 free hearing aids to local residents. Since then, he has traveled the globe to provide free hearing aids to those in need.

Pat is the youngest of seven children and was born and raised in Waco by Dr. and Mrs. Jim Curry. Both of his parents were from working class families and graduated from Waco ISD and Baylor University. Dr. Curry was a family practitioner whose mantra was to take care of everyone, whether they could afford it or not. Pat has held to that mantra throughout his career and personal life, supporting both local and national charities. His generosity extends to causes like the Miracle-Ear Foundation, Easter Seals, March of Dimes, Goodfellas, the Providence (Ascension) Hospital Foundation, and many of the local Volunteer Fire Departments.

After encouragement from family, friends, and local leaders, Pat announced his candidacy for Texas House District 56. As State Representative, Pat will fight to lower property taxes, create jobs and economic development, protect our conservative family values, defend the 2nd Amendment, support local agriculture, and protect the City of Waco's water supply. A farmer and rancher with multiple properties, including a ranch along the Southern border, Pat has seen the devastation of the federal government's open border policy firsthand. He is committed to securing the border and stopping the drug and human trafficking crisis in Texas.

A dedicated family man with strong Christian values, Pat is married to his college sweetheart, Alicia, and has four children. Growing up in Waco, Pat attended local public schools before attending Texas A&M and graduating with a BBA in Finance. Pat and Alicia reside on their ranch in Bruceville where Pat enjoys hunting and fishing.
